Blues Lick of the Week

May 7, 2006

This week's lick makes use of a series of double stops followed by single notes outlining an A7 chord.

Pay attention to the fingerings given in the score.  You can use the alternate fingerings (shown in parenthesis).  Either will work.  The difference is where the break caused by the position shift occurs.  The brisker the shift, the less apparent the break will be.

Lick of the Week - Slow

You can use this lick over an A7 chord anywhere, but especially in an A Dominant blues.
